Welcome to Northfield Retirement Community

Situated on a 30-acre beautifully landscaped campus, NRC was established in 1969 to provide housing and services specifically designed to meet the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of older adults.

Housing options include apartments with a minimal level of services, as well as other living settings that make increasing levels of service readily available.  Options include rental and owner occupied living spaces.  Units are available for both income sensitive and market rate income levels. NRC also provides a fully staffed care center for those who desire a more traditional nursing home setting.

Northfield Retirement Community has a long-standing affiliation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as a social ministry organization. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, the Community can direct all its resources toward helping enrich the lives of its residents. Corporate members include nineteen area churches representing a variety of denominations in the Northfield area. Our Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from our member churches.

From the beginning, the Retirement Community has offered an environment dedicated to meeting the special needs of older adults. The warm, concerned and professional staff creates a caring, supportive and comfortable Christian environment for individuals of all faiths.
